Blogging Tips: How to Always Have Fresh Content to Blog Blogging 101

I'm often asked how do I manage to come up with so many topics and am able to publish so many articles while still being a Mom, wife and homemaker. I have fresh content every day with the exception of Sundays and the occasional Saturday. How do I find the time? What could I give as blogging tips to help others have more content when they are running out of ideas?

My secret recipe? I have an array of blogging tips that help me to always have topics and content waiting to be written on the sidelines for whenever I draw a blank or have a break in my review schedule. But one of the easiest blogging tips is to always have my camera with me! Quite literally, I keep it with me when we go to Grandma's house, when we go to the store, when we go out to eat! Everywhere! That way I am always ready to capture all that life delivers.

Blogging Tips

Now you may be wondering, how can having a camera with you all the time help you blog better?

I take pictures of everything! If my kids start doing something funny, I capture it. If I see something of interest while gardening, I photo it. If I am making a meal, you guessed it, I seize it!  I have folders upon folders of pictures loaded on my desktop just waiting for me to get to them and write an article around those photos.

As you can guess, if I have lots of folders full of photos, I obviously don't have time to write up everything I take pictures of. Some photos don't always turn out like I envision them and some photos are great but they just don't fit with what's happening with our blog themes at the moment. So these pictures just wait in their folder…waiting for their turn or to be deleted if I find later on I really can't use them.

But I keep these folders on my computer (I also back them up seeing as my computer constantly goes on strike against me). When I have an opening in my blogging schedule and I wonder, "what can I write about?" When I need blogging tips from myself, I simply open those folders and I am flooded with blogging ideas from recipes, parenting topics, silly mommy moments and more; all at my finger tips and with photos all ready to go!

For me the hardest part of any post is finding the idea and the second hardest is getting photos secured. And by always keeping my camera at the ready, I am able to eliminate the two hardest parts of blogging! Now I just need to get over the 3rd obstacle of time! I need more time in my day to write more without taking away from being the mom I love being.

How do you always have fresh content ready to blog about?

Great tip! I also do take a lot of photos, then collect and sort. Only few make it to my blog :D

Have a great weekend!

Everyday life. Seriously. We live in such a fascinating world with so much going on. Second up is my unpredictable family. All’s fair in love and blogging (names are changed to protect the innocent…)

Sometimes when I can’t think of what to write, I google writing prompts and read other blogs.

I always have fresh ideas. Never a problem. In fact there are more stories than I can write.

That is such a great tip! I generally have my camera with me but always my Blackberry (<3) and really should start taking photos more often.

Thanks for the great idea about carrying your camera along. This is why I need a smart phone! :P

I get a lot of my ideas from stumbleupon/pinterest!

I write about things that I find useful to improve my blog or recipes we really like or environmental posts I find interesting.

I carry my camera in my purse b/c I never want to miss a moment. I like your ideas about incorporating that with my blogging.

I do carry my camera around more now as when I leave I’ll never know if I will see something that can turn into a post and blog about it.
