Some may call me a little prudish, but I like to be a modest Mama. But my problem is that with today's fashions, it is getting harder and harder to find modest clothing that is still fashionable. Once I finally find a cute top I also find that it is still too revealing on top for me to be wearing around young, impressionable boys. And not to mention they aren't very professional looking either with cleavage hanging out. So what is one to do when the only fashionable tops are far too revealing? For me, I simply use a Cleava

Cleava is the original Snap-to-bra Cami

Cleava Snap to Bra Cami Review

The Cleava is a very simple garment that offers coverage of the cleavage area and provides a very classy layered look to any plunging neckline top.

Cleava snap on bra mock camisole was designed by a woman for women, to hide the décolletage area it can be instantly removed or placed on, allowing the user the freedom to expose or conceal her cleavage, depending on the occasion or environment.

Cleava lets a woman dress more modestly in this modern era of fashion with plunging and revealing necklines. It is very simple to use, you simply snap onto your bra snaps and and then snap between the cups of your bra. It provides a classy layered look in seconds, offering you a modest look, more confidence and still be able to wear that adorable top that was too revealing before!

Cleava is as simple as one-two-three

The cleava is two layers of high quality fabric. It's not a thin, flimsy piece of material. It is quite well made and thick! It is actually two layers of material carefully sewn together. It features easy to assemble snaps on the top sides and in the center which allows for very easy application.

What I found amazing is that the Cleava worked with a large variety of different bras. And even my sports bras with larger straps and a thicker center. it still laid flat, snapped on, and offered the modesty coverage I needed.

I also love how the Cleava is fully adjustable. If you have wider bra straps, no problem! There are multiple options for the snaps. And the snaps themselves are quite high quality. I have yet to have a snap come apart while wearing the Cleava. And that even includes when I'm wresting with my restless toddler who just wants to get down and run all over in places she's not allowed. It stands up to quite a lot of pressure and still holds firm in place.

But the feature I think really sets the Cleava above other snap to bra camis on the market, is the unique feature of folding around the center of the bra between the cups, and snapping into place! This is absolutely brilliant in my opinion and like I said, I've not seen it as an option on other brands! And yes, I've tried other brands, but so far the Cleava is my favorite.

Cleava Cami Top offers Modesty in a Snap.

Why do I like this feature the most? Simply because it allows the Cleave a more secure hold, and it stays in place better than any other brand! Remember I'm a busy mom who has to juggle a wiggly 3 year old. Quite often while I'm going about my daily life, the other brand snap to bra camis would come "un-tucked" from my shirt! Quite embarrassing. I was constantly having to check and make sure it was still tucked into my shirt. I would also have to constantly be rearranging and smoothing it back out because they would bulge and clump up with my movements.

But with the Cleava and this amazing center snap addition; my cami stays put and stays smooth. I worry less about my wardrobe and more about my life!

I love having more confidence in knowing that I'm modest in my dress, not flashing anything inappropriate and that I can wear my fashionable tops! I even have a few dresses that have these plundging necklines, and adding the Cleava has solved the problem of not being able to wear them or having to wear full shirts underneath, which would be rather uncomfortable on hot summer days.

More benefits of the Cleava

Cleava has many benefits besides just turning a plunging and revealing top into a modest top. It also:

This is something I have been looking for! My daughter could use one too. She is a “tween” and some of those clothes are too low cut imo.

I let my cleavage show! Not too much, but just enough!

This is a nice idea…but I let my girls breathe! I don’t show a lot of cleavage, but a little never hurts!!!

these really are brilliant! i had never heard of a ‘snap to bra cami’ before, & am glad i heard about this one first if the other ones shift around! i am a nursing momma & all of my shirts are low-cut for easy nursing access, so it would be so nice to have some options to be a little more modest on occasion!! :D in the hotter months it would be fabulous too to not have to layer!!thanks for the great review!

I have a lot of low cut tops that are not appropriate for work but do not want to wear a tank under because I get too hot. This is the perfect solution!

What a wonderful idea. I love that it snaps around the middle of your bra cups. Otherwise, I could totally see it coming out of my shirt multiple times a day! And I know just what you mean about the many tops out there that are too low cut. It’s a shame to not be able to buy a shirt you love because you’re afraid it will expose too much. Now we don’t have to worry!

I love this idea! It helps change a blouse from fashionable to more professional. And it’s just a simple add-on without it being too hot or bulky.

I have been wishing for this for a long time! I find that the dresses I love to buy always tend to have low cuts which have no business of being there in the first place – for what – to show the public? I am so thankful for Cleava and thanks for letting me know there is a product to overcome the shamelessness this mad world is driving towards.

I’ve been needing something like this for years. I have 5 children ranging in age from 18 to 1 month of age. I’ve been chasing little ones for a long time. With all the bending, lifting and corralling of little ones I’m sure I’ve accidentally given people an eyeful hundreds of times. This little piece of fabric would’ve been very handy. I really like the look of the center snap feature. It seems like it would be very helpful in keeping the fabric in place.

This is such a great product. I wish I’d known about it during the summer as it would be a perfect way to stay cool and modest, rather than wearing lots of layers. Plus it would be a nice way to turn some v neck sweaters into office appropriate wear.

I would love to own this product. I don’t like the idea of layers to cover up lower cut tops. I don’t like adding bulk to my clothing — this fits the bill perfectly

When i first saw that the Cleava I thought that the lower snaps (that go around the bra) would help keep it in place. Your review confirms this. I have two beautiful tops waiting for alterations so I can wear them without being self-conscious. A Cleava would solve this problem.

I really like this idea. It would allow me to wear some of the tops I usually save for evening during the day.

I KNOW from experience that some other mock camis will NOT stay in place when you wear them!!!! VERY VERY not so nice to wear them. You end up using safety pins and wondering why did I bother?
These Cleava Camis are obviously STURDY too, besides snapping quite firmly into place!! I can tell just by the pictures that these are very well made and will LAST.
I NEED some of these. OH yes I do.
I can see myself even “blinging” some of them up with my own trims and beads and such.

I have a similar product but it’s lacy. I love this for a more everyday look. Also, the fact that the bottom snaps in place as well keeps grabby baby fingers from exposing mommy….

Would certainly like to try the Cleava because the styles today make it necessary to wear a cami under most tops, but they have a tendency to be too hot and who needs another layer LOL, this sounds like the perfect solution to lower necklines but still fashionable!! Great idea!! Wish I would have thought of designing it LOL!!!

I just had my first child a little over a week ago, and it seems like my chest has had a mind of its own for the last 9 months! This would be great to go with some pre-pregnancy tops that now give a bit too much of a view of my new cleavage!

These are just what I need! Finally, a way to wear all those cute shirts that show just a little too much. :) I was so tired of trying to find a cami to wear underneath and being too warm. Go Cleava!

What a wonderful idea!! This is a great item to own. I had to go bra hunting to be able to wear a couple tops. If I owned this I would not have had to spend more on a bra then I did both tops. I really want one of these. I think my three daughters could use also.

I love this, I will have to buy one, it would open my options up to a few cute shirts I had seen on sale, but I was worried about showing to much.

31 Sadie October 23, 2012 at 6:08 pm

Wow, I love that! It would definitely help make my shirts more professional looking. If you show TOO much cleavage, it’s a bad thing LOL.

But that is a LOT of tags… lol it’s like an entire paragraph..

Very practical and ingenious product! So many thimes I wish I had something to cover the cleavage area because my shirt is to low but I can’t and don’t want to wear a cami underneath…

Great thorough review. From the looks of your photos this is very well made. I didn’t know what a Cleava was. I’ve seen the name, but that’s all. I like that it is adjustable.

I just showed my mom this! She thinks this is a wonderful idea! Both her and I do not feel comfortable with low cut shirts. I usually pair mine underneath with a cami over top of my bra but this way would make it so I am wearing less clothing…an easier alternative I believe!

That is pretty awesome! I have a few shirts that are meant to be worn with something underneath, but don’t have the “something underneath” that doesn’t add bulk to the shirt. These would be perfect!

Such a great invention! I hate how some shirts these days seriously go all the way down SUPER low to where if you wore them with nothing you’d see skin from UNDERNEATH where your bra is. Crazy. I hate wearing a bra + a cami + a shirt. Too many straps and too hot during summer months. This is a great solution.

I don’t have a problem with too much cleavage, but since my chest is on the smaller size I do have a problem with a gaping shirt! This looks like it might help that as well.
