Daisy Duke Cloth Diapers Review-Giveaway, 100% USA Made Cloth Diapers.

Daisy Duke Cloth Diapers is a recently launched Stay at Home Mom owned and operated business. It is also the first Cloth diaper I have used that is actually made by THE MOM right here in the US! That's right, Daisy Duke Diapers are 100% MADE  in the USA Cloth Diapers! Angela started making cloth diapers for her daughter as she was allergic to the ingredients in paper/Disposable diapers. It then grew into a venture to share with everyone, so they can know the comfort of cloth and how cute and easy it can be for anyone!

Daisy Duke Diapers currently creates one sized pocket diaper, sized pocket diapers, Rainy Days fitted diapers, diaper covers, diaper liners, cloth wipes, baby bibs, and travel changing pads! As the business grows so does her vast selection of diapers! She has a great product line for the girls (Daisy Dukes) and for boys (Diaper Dudes)! And best of all, you are assured that her diapers are unique and you won't find those prints elsewhere!

As I mentioned, Angela created multiple styles, and uses different materials for each style. But each diaper will always come with a PUL inner lining to prevent leaks, two rows of snaps for closure, and unless specified will fit most babies 15 lbs and up. The inner material is normally stated per diaper, but she has cotton, Velour, and microfleece in many colors including white.

I got to try out one of the original diapers with the flannel outer layer. Angela no longer uses flannel for the outside layer due to customer feedback. But I love that she listens to her customer's wants and suggestions! No longer using flannel for the outer layer also helps decrease wicking and fitting better. But I will definitely miss this print, and I never had any problems with wicking or leaks as long as I changed Jade on schedule. But all the outer layers are now Cotton or PUL

The front on this diaper has 2 rows of 11 snaps, but now again the current diapers are 2 rows of 10 snaps across. I really like the full 2 rows! This helps to really keep the side "wings" from slipping out of the diaper and really ensures an accurate fit even with a very busy toddler!

This is the first diaper I've ever used where the inside lining was not WHITE! And I must say I really like it! It is unique, really adds to the fashion factor, and frankly helps hide stains! This liner is very soft against Jade's behind and it has withstood multiple washes and still looks as new as the first day it arrived! As I mentioned the inside lining comes in various colors based on your diaper style, and Angela even has the traditional white color. You can also contact her for a special color combination in your diaper order and ask for a more natural flannel inner for those who want a natural inner with out the texture of the Velour.

The pocket opening in the back is very large and quite easy to stuff! Actually it's the easiest pocket diaper I have when it comes to stuffing! The newer styles also have an elastic back at the pocket opening, but there are still a few models with this straight back. But even with the elastic back, the opening for the pocket is wide enough for stuffing one or more inserts without any trouble. Yet, due to the higher back design of the Daisy Duke diapers, you don't have to worry about the inserts working their way out.

The Daisy Duke Diapers are definitely one of the cutest diapers we own! Jade loves the print as much as I do. It is comfortable for her to wear, and doesn't leave any "elastic" marks behind.

The leg gussets are fully lined, again helping to prevent any marks left behind on Jade's legs. Even with multiple inserts in the diaper, they still form a close fit to the legs and don't leave any open gaps for possible leaks. As you can see, the back of the diaper is higher than others, as it proceeds up the back even under her shirt, where most pocket diapers that Jade owns would have stopped where the shirt begins. This has been great for preventing any "up the back" leaks. I really like the higher back on this diaper.

Overall: the Daisy Duke Diapers are a huge hit in our house! I really love the unique nature of the handmade cloth diaper from a WAHM! I love that it's 100% Made in the USA, the design is unique compared to the factory made diapers we currently own, yet is just as effective! And it comes in so many adorable patterns, fits Jade perfectly and offers her a very comfortable diaper!

Drawbacks:
Now some features you may consider a drawback, but others may consider these benefits, but some features to be aware of:

  • The Daisy Duke diapers are made by hand, and take a little longer to create and ship out than the traditional Diaper factory that has a lot of diapers laying in inventory already crafted and ready to ship.
  • inserts are sold separately. Angela found that most customers weren't interested in inserts as they already had a good supply, so in order to keep costs low to the customers, unless specifically stated on the diaper description, all inserts are sold separately.
  • The one size diapers start at 15 lbs. For one that has very small babies, I would have to specifically order the newborn diapers until my babies FINALLY packed on the lbs to fit into the one size diaper. But this also helps ensure a specialized fit for each stage without a lot of bulk for the smaller sizes.

For us the Daisy Duke Diapers are definitely a favorite, and quite reasonably priced and average $10-16 depending on style and fabric choice.

You can purchase Daisy Dukes Diapers on their Website or Etsy! Also be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on product releases, sales, giveaways and more!
