How to Keep Cool in Hot summer Weather, Handy Cooler, a Portable Hand-held Personal Air Cooler

Summer is hot! There is no getting around it, and when you are outdoors, camping, playing with the kids or any number of outdoor activities you are subject to the hot summer temperatures. You can't wrap yourself in a bubble of air conditioned air and be comfortable, but there are different things you can do to help cool yourself down while still enjoying the grand outdoors!

1. Drink Plenty of Water- if you get dehydrated, your body's ability to naturally cool itself is hampered, thus making everything feel hotter than it actually is.

2. Frequent shady areas- it is important not to stay solely in the sun for long periods of time. Take a few rest periods where you can get out of the sun's direct rays and enjoy slightly cooler temperatures.

3. Enjoy frozen treats-Obviously this is helpful for cooling yourself off, but not always the best choice for your waistline, but still it a fun summer activity.

4. Spritz yourself with Water- just as sweating helps cool our bodies, so does spritzing yourself with a mist of cool water.

5. Use a quality Hand-held Personal Air Cooler.

A quality hand-held personal air cooler is a great way that you can have your own personal air conditioner with you at all times. Sometimes you won't have access to shady areas, or even then they are still sweltering with heat. You don't always want to eat sweet treats, and although Spritzing yourself with cool water helps, if you could only have a cool breeze then it would make an even greater benefit to cooling off in the hot summer months!

As I mentioned you want a quality hand-held personal air cooler, not one that will work for a week and then break. I've seen some that are made from flimsy plastic, with little water bottle attachments. Apparently they are suppose to use the water from the bottle to create a cool air and then spray yourself with the cooler air. All these ever did was create a short term cool burst of air, and then leaked a lot of water all over the place and broke soon after purchase.

Now the Handy Cooler on the other hand, has worked wonders for my family this last month! Our temperatures started to climb higher and higher, and being as we live in the land of "I don't believe in A/C units in homes" here in Idaho, this handy little hand-held personal air cooler quickly became a dear friends to us.

Hand-held-Personal-Air-Cooler

The Cooler comes with easy to follow directions, a cooling filter (sponge), the handy cooler device, a small water bottle and a USB power cord!

Hand-held-Personal-Air-Cooler

It is well packaged and arrived with out any damage. It is available for purchase in black, pink, and blue.

Hand-held-Personal-Air-Cooler

The back of the package helps explain how the product works as well. Basically the handy Cooler is more than just merely a simple hand-held personal air cooler. The Handy Cooler is:

  • Portable as it can run on batteries
  • Offers a USB power source, great for a desktop fan
  • small and easy to carry around wherever you go
  • emits a cooling breeze
  • cools air up to 30 degrees
  • is not a misting fan, you and your clothes stay completely dry
  • 90 degree rotating fan direction
  • uses a 30db whisper quiet fan
  • flat bottom allows for transferring from a hand held device to a desktop cooling fan
  • Fully adjustable power level
  • 1 year warranty

Hand-held-Personal-Air-Cooler

Assembly is quite simple, you install the batteries, damped the filter as directed and put into place, close the cover and you are set to use.

Hand-held-Personal-Air-Cooler

The filter comes in a sanitized and sealed bag to ensure that it is fresh and free of contamination. The small water bottle is how you measure the proper amount of water to be used with the Handy Cooler. Too much water and it will leak and can destroy your machine. Too little and you may not get enough cooling feature. The small water bottle helps you measure the approved level of water to use with your cooling filter. And the Handy Cooler comes with easy to follow instructions.

For us the handy cooler was most beneficial this last month as I was so severely sick. When the fever hit and I just couldn't stand the heat, I was able to use the handy cooler, to help cool myself when I had no other way to help relieve my hot flashes. Then when the house actually got to a sweltering 89 degrees inside, and it was over 90 outside, the handy cooler was perfect to help me find some comfort while I was laid up for the week.

hand-held-personal-air-cooler

But I'm not the only one that loves the handy cooler! My kids each fought over who would have the chance to use this amazing hand-held personal air cooler. It is more than just a little fan. We have plenty of those running full blast throughout the house all summer long. But they really liked the handy Cooler because it actually produced cooler air and helped them feel cooler as well.

hand-held-personal-air-cooler

I loved how I could have full control over the level of air that emitted from the handy cooler. You have full control over how much air you want from the Handy Cooler, not just their preset level 1, level 2, level 3 settings.

But what I'm really looking forward to, is taking this hand-held personal air cooler to the fourth of July events in our town! We always attend our town's Fourth of July parade, and festivities at the park and cook outs! And to top it off, we are usually out in the sun most of the day in a lot of hot weather. I am very excited to have the Handy Cooler with us this year, to help keep us all from over-heating in the sweltering summer sun!

The handy Cooler is a great outdoor gear device for

  • Hot flashes
  • camping
  • BBQs and Picnics
  • Outdoor sporting events
  • golfing
  • amusement parks
  • home and office
  • watching sports
  • sunbathing
  • and much more.

Many good points about staying cool–biggest is probably to stay hydrated and in the shade as much as possible. A good thing about the Handy Cooler is that it can be powered by multiple methods.

Great checklist of good tips. I would add that I wear light colored clothes and avoid heavy foods and alcoholic beverages.

I would love to win this splendid Handy-Cooler. I know some people love the hot weather – but not me! And worst of all – I can’t cool off at home as we have NO A/C – not even window a/c units!

If I won this I would give it to my mom. She has trouble breathing in the heat and at work her desk is in front of a window – so something small like this wouldn’t take up too much desk space and she could cool herself down a bit.

The only thing missing from your 5 suggestions to help stay cool is #5 the Hand-held Personal Air Cooler. It’s 112 with heat index and our room feels a lot hotter. the window air can’t keep it cool. :( Your ideas are really good though! Not everyone uses common sense. I hope I win!!!! I could sure use it right now!!!!!
