Instant Chalkboard Makes for Easy Housekeeping Tasks! Review and Give Away

Being an efficient Homemaker requires a proficiency in organization! One of the most common things you would always find in my kitchen office was lists of paper taped all over the wall and pantry door! These papers would contain the daily chores for my boys, menu plans, shopping lists, to do lists, reward charts for each week and more! 

The problem was that I was running out of wall and door space and I was going through a lot of paper every week! I wanted a better, more efficient way to still keep my lists and organization but without wasting so much paper each week. Besides having shredded pieces of paper taped across every bare space of wall was starting to look a little tacky in my opinion. I wanted something easy to use, reusable, cost efficient, and would look nice, and that's when I saw an instant chalkboard.

Now that is something I could use! It's simple to install, looks great, and is reusable!

What is an Instant Chalkboard?

Instant Chalkboard is a Peel & Stick chalkboard application that allows you to place a chalkboard or chalkboard shape anywhere you want!  The material is fully removable so when you're tired of it, you move it, or just throw it out. How brilliant is that? 

So began the adventure of exchanging our wall of cluttered papers for a wall of organized instant chalkboard applications! 

The instant chalkboard came with everything I needed to install the instant chalkboard to my wall surface:

• chalk
• instructions
• instant chalkboard applications
• Plastic card for application

First you want to make sure that the decal is the right size for the area you want to apply. If you want any additional shapes, it is easy to cut and shape to your desire.

To install, you merely peal back the paper and place the instant chalkboard decal onto the wall or surface. Using the plastic card or a credit card, apply pressure to the decal. You will want to start with the fragile area first if you have cut it into a shape. Then move onto the larger areas until all the air pockets have been worked out. 

Now you are done! See I told you it was simple! Once applied to the wall or surface you are now ready to put it to use! My first project only required three of the eight sheets that came with my order. I wasn't looking for anything fancy right now, but I still have the other five sheets to use on my next project which will definitely allow for more creativity. 

They made the most useful chore charts! First I used one application for the weekly chores for the boys! The second application I placed below the first and divided it so each boy gets their own side where I can divide up the chores for each day on their own little list. This helps stop the fighting over who has to do which job. I can then erase the chores each day and add the next day's chores. 

And we can't forget about what every homemaker needs; a meal planner and shopping list! This has been so helpful when it comes to meals. I write down the ideas and meals we have ingredients for in the house. Then after we cook up a meal, I simply cross it off. Run out of something, I just jot it down onto the shopping list side while I'm in the kitchen and thinking about it! Then when I'm preparing for the next grocery shopping trip I can just visit this list and transfer it all to my phone for the actual trip. 

You have to admit that it looks much better than a wall and door completely covered with scraps of paper at odd angles and lots of tape that can peal off the paint. 

I also love that if I change my mind, I can merely take them down and it won't damage the surface of the wall or the door. It won't leave a sticky mess behind and I can then just move them elsewhere. You can also use regular chalk or liquid chalk markers!
