Usually it takes forever to get my hair just right in an up do, so I hate it when the silly clips or bobby pins I use fall out and within 20 minutes my entire morning of primping my hair has gone to waste! Or I can use the claw clips, but they usually have to be in very tight and after a few hours I start to get headaches. Why can't I just have a clip that will hold my hair in place, not fall out, and still look nice? I thought it was a hopeless battle until I tried my very first Lilla Rose Flexi clip.
Lilla Rose Flexi clip offers elegance and functionality.
Lilla Rose is a company that produces functional, unique hair and jewelry accessories. When I say unique, I really mean unique as I've never seen or used anything quite like them before.
"Lilla Rose offers the opportunity to share unique, functional innovative products anchored by our patented Flexi Clip. We create entrepreneurial possibilities for women and men by offering fair profit margins while compensating those that desire building a much larger organization. In either case, the Lilla Rose Opportunity has given our representatives the framework to operate and run their own business."
The flexi Clip is quite a brilliant invention. It allows you to clip your hair into place and it actually stays put! They come in a very large variety of styles and levels of elegance. It took me forever to decide just which one I wanted to try because I just kept seeing new ones that made me say
"OH MY!"
"OOOOOOOO!!"
"I want THAT one!"
"That's GORGEOUS! I need it!"
Yes, they are that amazing. In fact if I could I would buy almost all of them. They are quite stunning, and they look amazing in all the variety of hair styles. I finally decided on the Princess Tiara Dangle, as I love jewelry and accessories that sparkle and dangle.
How the Lilla Rose Flexi clip actually works
Just by looking at the Lilla Rose Flexi clips, you are probably thinking, "Yes, it's beautiful but that little thing won't hold my hair!" Maybe you have extra thick hair and it's hard to get anything to actually hold all of your hair. Or maybe your hair is super thin and silky and nothing stays in your hair longer than 10 minutes before it slides right out. Will the Flexi clip still work? The great news is YES!
There are many different sizes of the Lilla Rose Flexi clip. Depending on the type of hair you have and your thickness will determine which size of the Lilla rose Flexi clip you would want to order. They have even made it simple to know just which size is right for you with a Sizing video that explains it all. And don't worry too much, if you order the wrong size, Lilla Rose will gladly exchange the flexi for free within 90 days.
When my Flexi clip arrived my first thought was "Now how in the world does that go into my hair and how does it stay closed?" Because you see, there are no clasps, springs, clips, or anything else that secures the clip into place. The brilliance is in the design and shape of the Flexi clip! It has the decorative top, with a single prong that is attached at one end. It slides out of the opposite loop to open. You then weave the prong through your hair and then slide it back into the loop of the Flexi Clip.
How does it actually stay closed? I haven't a clue. I only know that it does. It does however have a few slight indentations at the end of the prong as you can see in the photo above. But those notches don't perfectly snap on the loop. I do, however, think they definitely play an important role in providing resistance and keeping the flexi clip securely closed.
The Many Ways to wear a Lilla Rose Flexi Clip
Just as there are many different styles of the flexi clip, there are almost just as many ways you can wear your Lilla Rose Flexi clip! The easiest one I found to do for a beginner is a very simple Pony tail. When my hair is straight, it is very smooth. Thankfully it's no longer as thin as it used to be, but because of how smooth it is, it is still a struggle to get hair ties to stay in my hair. They are always sliding down and I have to tighten my pony tail or just take it out and start all over. But that wasn't the case. I was quite surprised that I put in the Flexi Clip and my hair was done for the entire day! I never had to "tighten" my pony tail, it never slid down and my hair never fell out! I was seriously surprised. I didn't think I would have that good of results with the flexi clip.
And just look how a simple flexi clip can change a normal boring pony tail into something quite fashionable!
On Saturday I had a conundrum. I had curled my hair the night before for a date with the Husband. I woke up late Saturday morning and didn't have time to wash my hair and restyle it before I was suppose to be to a baby shower. My hair still had a little curl in it, so I utilized the Flexi Clip for a quick up do. And thankfully it totally pulled off a fresh, and fashionable look! In fact I got quite a lot of comments on how cute my hair was, and "where in the world did I get that gorgeous hair clip!"
The Flexi clip never slipped out, never loosened it's grip on my hair and it stayed put all day long. Actually these photos were taken in the afternoon after I had already worn the hair style for quite a few hours. Doesn't it look like I had just done my hair? None of my hair fell out of this style and I loved every minute of it. And like I said, I got a lot of compliments on this beautiful clip.
Normally with this type of hair style I either have to use almost an entire sheet of bobby pins or a claw clip. The claw clip definitely doesn't look as cute, although it is fast. But it still gives me headaches after a few hours. The bobby pins take FOREVER to put in, they often fall out and within a few hours my hair is a mess again. So I would definitely say the Flexi clip has won hands down for me.
As I said before there are so many more ways you can style your hair with the flexi clip! The next one I'm going to try is the French Twist style shown below.

Clips always fall out of my hair. I’d love to try one that stayed put!
What a beautiful hair accessory…and so versatile. Gorgeous!
I have fine hair that just will not stay place with most hair clips. Not only do these look like they’d hold my hair, they are beautiful!
I love that its such a fantastic alternative to the elastic hair band I have at the ready on my wrist every day. What great motivation to try quick hairstyles that look nice rather than throwing up my hair like always! Mommies needs options like this that actually keep your hair up and work!
I never know what to do with my hair. I think that these would be great for me.
These are the best! They are definitely not your average hair accessory-they are attractive and original. Obviously, Lilla Rose has a lot of options to choose from and all of them are gorgeous! It’s great that they stay in, even with my fine hair.
I wear my hair up everyday and this looks like it could really add some style to my boring knot! I would probably have to fight my daughter for it though!
My hair is super thick and course and has always had trouble holding clips in. I really think the design of the flexi-clip since it caters to different hair types would actually work on my thick hair!
Oh my daughter recently lost hers and I was just looking into buying her a new one (and me one too), this would be great (since we really don’t have the extra cash right now for hair accessories)
Wow! These are gorgeous especially the one you got. Always nice to find something to hold my yucky pregnancy hair up but still look nice! Thanks for the giveaway good luck everyone! =)
i don’t usually like to wear my hair up because i am not a super girly girl and honestly can’t do much other than a boring ponytail, but i think i could manage this.it’s super cute and different!
Would love to see these mixed in my 3 tone red and black hair, I think it would scream look at me!
I have long, thick and wavy hair so in the summer I wear it up ALL the time so the Flexi Clip is so perfect for me. I hate wearing the “claw clip” because its nothing you can do to dress it up. I would love to have the Roman Stone Sapphire one.
I recently cut my hair very short because it was too frustrating to get clips to work and my hair was too hard to manage, but, I have 2 ‘glamor teenage girls’ that would love this. Thanks for the informative review and giveaway.
These are so pretty and they hold so well
These are so pretty. I wear my hair up at LEAST 3 times a week. I am off to see all the styles- thank you!
I just today got my hair cut, so now it is too short to pull in a pony tail when I play golf. I definitely think that this clip could help me out! Thanks.
I have thin fragile hair and i love all these
Designs the princess dangles and butterfly
Clip i like the most
Love the princess dangles! Lilla Rose is so versatile. I’m able to do so many new hair styles with mine that I wasn’t able to do before. Love how cute your hair looks with it as well!
I have the butterfly clip and I love it! And it’s the only thing that holds all of my hair!
I love the look of the clip, they are really pretty and cute. I am a little skeptical it would work for my hairstyles (without bobby pins) but thinking it may be worth to try.
I love that they have different sizes for different hair types. I have always had a problem with bobby pins, clips, etc staying in my hair. This would be great to try.
They have just the right amount of bling without being too much. I gave several of these to my daughter in her stocking one year and she loves them!
My hair is super thick and slips out constantly,so it is a chore keeping it up.I also never knew how to do a French Roll until I saw the short super easy video. Can’t wait to try it.
I love that these add just a little something to what might otherwise be a more casual hairstyle.
My hair is thin and fine – fun products like this rarely work on my hair because there just isn’t enough of it to hold it in! So I’m super excited to hear that these come in different sizes!! I bet this would definitely work on my hair – finally! THANKS!
