You already know how much I love my cloth diapers, and I love doing cloth diapers reviews! I am always on the look out for new brands, styles, patterns that make the cloth diapering experience more enjoyable. For me, you can never have too many cloth diapers! I love all the various styles, patterns and designs! And what makes it even better is when these nappies, as they are often called, are comfortable for the little one and affordable!

Quality and Comfort with SgBum Cloth Diapers

SgBum Cloth Diapers Review

SgBum cloth diapers offers amazing quality and comfort for your little one. SgBum Cloth Diapers are designed locally in Singapore by parents who would like to bring up their baby in the "green" way. SgBum strives to provide premium quality products that are value for money.

SgBum diapers come with the choice of snap closure or Aplix, also known as Hook and Loop or velcro and all the SgBum diapers are one size and adjust to fit your baby no matter their size.

SgBum Cloth Diapers Review

SgBum offers one size diapers, pocket diapers, covers, minky diapers, all in ones, and fitted cloth diapers that are practical and affordable! But the best part about cloth diapers review is that you not only get to see a new cloth diaper, but also see it in action and all the nitty gritty about what works and what doesn't.

SgBum Cloth Diapers offer a unique and never before seen insert option.

One thing that stood out right away when I got my first SgBum cloth diapers were the inserts. Each diaper comes with two inserts, one slightly larger than the other. This way if you have a heavy wetter you don't have to buy additional inserts, you already have all you need to double up or just use the little one for newborns or the larger one for regular babies.

I've actually never seen inserts like this before. They are not only absorbent and soft, but they have their own pocket style. The larger insert has a pocket where you can stuff the smaller pocket. I love this feature as it prevents the different inserts from bulking into separate piles and un-layering inside the diaper. Believe it or not this is actually a big problem with my daughter as she is such a mover. I often see one insert bunched up on one side and the second on the other and no longer one on top of the other. It sort of defeats the purpose of doubling up inserts when this happens. So I am loving this unique style of insert with the SgBum diapers.

Snap Grande Suede Cloth Diapers Review – Natural with pink button

The Grande Suede cloth diaper is the first diaper I tried out from SgBum. And I absolutely love the brilliant white color and bright pink snaps!

SgBum Cloth Diapers Review

The lining of the Suede cloth diaper is a Soft inner suede cloth which dries fast and wicks moisture away from baby.

The Suede cloth diaper features a double snap closure to ensure that little fingers can't open the diaper. I love snap diapers because Jade has been discovering how to take off her own diaper. It wouldn't be such a bad thing if it meant she was ready for potty training, but when she does it merely to not have a diaper on, that's not such a good thing.

The suede cloth diaper also features an elastic pocket in the back for easy stuffing of the inserts.

The suede diaper fits snug but not too tight and is quite easy to match with most of Jade's cloths.

I don't have to worry about any mess falling out the legs or up the back with the snug closures and high back.

And it allows extra rows of snaps to adjust the size so the diaper can grow with your little one from newborn all the way to toddler.

We've love the suede cloth diaper, it works well, fits well, and when worn correctly doesn't leak. The only problem we've had with the suede diaper is when Jade wears a dress. Due to only having 2 snap closure and not an third snap to keep the wings in place, they tend to droop and not stay put. This is the only time we've experienced any leaks with this diaper. And as I mentioned this only happens when Jade wears a dress. When she wears pants, the pants help to keep the wings tucked in where they belong.

But I would love to see a third snap feature added to this diaper that would help prevent the wings from drooping. If you had a non-busybody toddler, you probably wouldn't have this issue, but as Jade is always on the go, she is too wiggly to keep the wings tucked in without that third snap.

The Suede Diapers average $19 each and includes two inserts and offers you peace of mind that you are getting high quality cloth diaper to last.

Aplix Naturelle Bamboo Cloth Diapers review – Almond Blossom

SgBum Cloth Diapers Review

I've never tried a bamboo diaper before and I must say I am absolutely in love with it! The fabric is extremely soft and comfortable for my little one!

Normally I'm not a big fan of Aplix or velcro because it tends to wear out faster in washings, but as far as Aplix closures go, this is the highest quality of Aplix I've seen yet on a diaper. It's been through multiple washings and it hasn't rolled, or deformed or tried to come off the diaper.

SgBum Cloth Diapers Review

SgBum Cloth Diapers Review

The tabs are well stitched into the wings and it also features a fantastic laundry tab to help prevent the Aplix from snagging on other diapers while in the wash.

Bamboo info

The bamboo fabric has a unique look to it and isn't as smooth or white as the normal diapers I use, but it doesn't bother me at all. It is quite absorbent and very soft. My daughter hasn't experienced a leak yet in this diaper.

And my absolute favorite part of the Bamboo diaper is the  double leg gussets! These are truly amazing at keeping leaks locked in! And it doesn't leave any marks on my babies skin, and I don't have to worry about having the legs extra tight on Jade's sweet little thighs.

The bamboo diaper also features the normal back opening, and it has an elastic that allows for extra stretch to accommodate easily double stuffing or Daddies with bigger hands.

The bamboo diaper fits so well on my daughter. There are no bulging and no gaps left open, yet it's not so tight to leave marks or hinder her walk and running that is typical in a toddler.

The bamboo diaper fits well and doesn't bulge or clump in the front or back. The wings stay put and as I mentioned I've never experienced a leak in this diaper.

The bamboo diaper is not only one of my favorites but is also Jade approved!

Even with all her running, climbing and other toddler activity this cloth diaper still holds up to all that a toddler can throw at it, yet still be gentle and soft enough to coddle a newborn.

The Bamboo cloth diapers average $23 each and come in a variety of different colors.

I am new to cloth diapering Ive been doing it for about 3 weeks maybe a little more and I must say I LOVE it there’s are so many brands and colors and prints and its so easy i love the fact that you pointed out the wing droop i really really hate wing droop because thats when leaks happen. But i love that its for a heavey wetter my daughter is 2 and she still pees alot she drinks alot of water so i think this diaper would be great for her the two inserts are awesome and a plus in my book! and the color that you got that would be my choice as well sooo cute thanks for the chance

A pocket within a pocket seems like a bit of a stretch to me – kind of gimmicky – but I like the gusset and the orange color (on the SG Bum website) so I’d be willing to give it a shot!

Im sad to hear about the snap issue, i tend to have to buy diapers that have hip snaps(or add them) because i have a skinny wasted very active baby. but the aplix one looks great in that area. i would love to try that out for sure

I’ve never seen the pocket on the insert either — I like the idea of tucking the extra insert right with it! What type of fabric makes the pocket? Is it a fabric that can be worn directly next to the body? If it is, it could also be used with covers and that would be extra cool :)

Love the pocket on the inserts! I also have the trouble of inserts bunching up when using more then one. What a great idea!

I love the idea of the double gusset. However I have a rumparooz and I just can’t make it not leak. even with the double gusset. My Baby Babu works well though. I wish I knew what the differing factor was.

I adore the bright pink snaps on the one you tested. If I won one, I would probably borrow a pair of snap pliers and just add in hip snaps to make it less droopy.

I love diapers with double gussets and I’m always looking for other ones to try. One thing I don’t like it wing droop and my older boy seems to be prone to droopy diaper.

I absolutely love the Naturelle bamboo diaper! I have never seen a bamboo diaper with double gussets! It’s nice that it has a pocket large enough to accommodate double stuffing- that is a huge pet peeve of mine when the opening is too small to easily get the inserts down in there!! I’m glad the ‘wings’ stay put on this diaper as well- that picture of the ‘wing droop’ is a sad picture indeed!! :D Thanks so much for the review!

I would love to try the suede diaper! I don’t think any of my current diapers are made from suede – interested in seeing what that is like. I also like the fact that it is a pocket diaper.

Diapers with the double leg gusset are fantastic for our little man since he is such a heavy wetter! The leg gussets is something I always look for in a new diaper!

I also agree that it needs a third snap to keep those wings from falling. Otherwise it looks like a very functional diaper that I’d love to try!

I love double gussets and would prefer the aplix over the snaps because the wing issue I like to call “wonkie wings” as you’ve so perfectly depicted. It made me giggle!

I enjoy learning about different types of cloth diapers there are out there on the market. I like how these have adorable patterns and one type had closures that only the parents can open.

I haven’t tried a bamboo diaper before, and with the double leg gussets, the bamboo diaper looks awesome!

Also, I haven’t seen a pocket insert before. I’m glad they work at keeping them together. I haven’t had an issue with my inserts shifting, since my gal is only 6 months old. Once she’s on the move, I’m sure that pocket would be quite beneficial!

This is a super cute diaper, and I would love to get my hands on it. I’m a little bummed about the wings that fall down, that makes it really difficult for me to validate spending $23.

I like how the insert is its own pocket. But I do wonder if it would be weird to wash. Do you have to unstuff it? If not, does it agitate out? Or do you have to unstuff it so it will dry properly? That is some serious wing droop you have going on there. Luckily I have a boy so I don’t worry about dresses.

I like the color options of these diapers: white/cream with colored snaps. The only concern I would have would be with the droop. My babies are skinny, and so side snaps are always a plus.

Thanks for the review. The white with pink snaps looks very intimidating to me as a new mom. I do like the velcro option. I don’t know if it is your pictures but the diapers look SO soft!

You could easily remedy the wing drop with a hip snap :) I’ve found a pair of Snap Pliers to be VERY useful around here with my diapers. Plus, they’ve come in handy when I’ve made my older daughter clothes for her dolls LOL

These look super cute, but I worry about the wing droop as well. My 8 month old is a comando crawler and it puts a bit of stress on the wings. I’d still love to try one though :)

I have not used cloth diapers as of yet, but I have started quite the collection. Im due any time now and am curious how this is all going to work out. I appreciate this article, the details and all of the pictures. I particularly like the honesty and openness about the wings that hang. This really appears to be a quality diaper and I look forward to adding sgbum to my experience.

Way back when my kids were babies, we didn’t have such wonderful diapers. We had plain white cloth that we folded. These are great and I know that my nephew and his wife are due for their first baby any day and wanting to use cloth. I like how soft this appears to be and in my opinion, anything bamboo, is fantastic. The price seams reasonable to me for Bamboo diapers. Thanks for reviewing!
