If you are a living, breathing human being; odds are you have most likely experienced the need for itch relief. It’s just a natural human occurrence. Whether it be from an allergic reaction, sunburn, rash, poison oak or poison ivy, eczema or bug bites. It is all the same. You need itch relief. And you want it fast! The problem I have found is that most anti-itch creams contain some kind of steroid. Now these are great for temporary use. But prolonged use of steroid creams is bad. Your body becomes immune. Then what? Plus, the last thing I want to use on my kids is a steroid cream if there is a natural itch relief remedy. If you are like me, you will love to hear about TriCalm!

Natural Itch relief with Tricalm Anti Itch Steroid Free Hydrogel

TriCalm offers natural itch relief.

So what is TriCalm? Before December, I had never heard of it before. But thanks to Moms Meet, I was able to learn about it and even try it out. What makes TriCalm so unique is that it contains cosmederm-7.  It’s a compound of strontium, which is a naturally occurring element found in green leafy vegetables. Who knew that vegetables could help achieve itch relief? The unique compound of TriCalm allows for a natural itch relief without the use of steroids!

TriCalm delivers fast powerful relief for poison ivy, bug bites, allergic reactions and other skin ailments. It also helps to calm sunburns, relieve dry skin, and even eczema related symptoms! I especially love that it is non-greasy and 100% steroid-free!

TriCalm is FDA-Approved and is safe for daily use on kids and adults. And it does not increase sensitivity to UV rays so it is even safe to use while spending time in the sun! Many other itch relief creams can’t claim that!

Does TriCalm really provide itch relief?

I took some time throughout December to give TriCalm a good test. I didn’t want to just go with one application and call it good. I wanted to really test it out! I wanted to know if a natural steroid-free hydrogel could really provide as much itch relief as the steroid creams we usually use.

The first difference I noticed is that TriCalm is a gel and not a cream. You don’t need to squirt out a lot as the gel spreads over a larger portion of the skin than a cream would. So really you end up using less of the product to get the same amount of coverage. That’s a big bonus for me. That means it will last longer and you will get more for your money.

TriCalm has a typical scent for an itch relief product. It’s not strong, and doesn’t stay with you. It’s not unpleasant either. Just a very light scent you would expect from a natural gel. Almost similar to aloe vera. I really appreciated how quickly the gel absorbed into my skin. I wasn’t left feeling greasy. Within a few minutes of applying you honestly couldn’t tell that I had put anything onto my skin at all. I didn’t have to worry about it transferring onto my clothes, or making my hands slippery on door knobs or anything of that sort.

The best part of all is that the TriCalm gel actually provided amazing itch relief! It worked just a well if not better than the usual steroid creams we have used in the past! I was amazed and very happy with the results. It helps to cool the burn and itch and provides great itch relief.

There is however, one drawback. If you apply the TriCalm to any broken skin it will burn like crazy! I don’t mean like an open cut. But if you have scratched the rash or eczema and the skin is broken at all, it will burn. It definitely provides itch relief. And if you can handle the burning, it is still more effective than the other itch relief creams we’ve tried. But I’d recommend doing all you can to not scratch so you don’t break the skin. Then hurry and apply the TriCalm.

After using TriCalm for the last month; I would recommend it over any other itch relief product you may find in the drug store. I love that it is natural and safe to use with my kids and myself. I love that I don’t have to worry about sun sensitivity while using it. And I also love that it is steroid free!  It works great at providing itch relief for both myself and my kids.

Thank you for the honest review. My three year old has terrible eczema and I cannot get her to stop scratching. I would love to find an alternative to cortisone cream. I will look for this product and try to apply before she goes nuts with the scratching. If it burns her, she’ll never let me get near her with the stuff again!

I can’t wait to try this! I live in a heavily wooded area so from March thru October the bugs and critter abound. I’ve always got a bit or an itch. I hate to use the steroid creams because I just don’t like what they do to your skin with prolonged use. I’ll be giving this a try!!

This look amazing.. I’ve suffered from bad eczema since a little girl, and in the winter months it tends to spike up the most. Always willing to try a new product, because usually the normal ol’ cortisone cream, doesn’t do justice.

I may need to try this out. My daughter is so allergic to poison oak that she gets it from the air when it pollinates. She looks like she has been burned when she’s broken out. She usually gets steroids to get rid of the rash, but this would be a better cream to help the itching/burning.
