After last month of trudging through, little results, being sick, and just feeling down; this week totally made up for it all! I'm back with another Nutrisystem update! I'm now finished with week 13, and I'm happy to say I'm back on track! Let me tell you about my week.

Back on track with Nutrisystem

Nutrisystem

I was struggling the beginning of the week because I was just down when I saw my numbers from last month. I hadn't really moved. Yes, I had a good reason; being sick definitely slows down weight loss progress. But it was still a little discouraging. But I took the time to just brush myself off, remind myself it isn't where I've been, but where I'm going that matters. I wanted to go in a positive direction this week. I was more diligent in my meals, eating on plan and cleaning up the snacks around the house. I literally de-junked the snack cupboard again to where all the snacks that were left were ones for the kids that I didn't like anyway. So there was very little temptation.

I tried to be more active. I am still recovering with my lungs, so I couldn't do full exercises like I wanted, but I stayed off the couch a lot more. It helped that we had a very busy week with my daughter's speech therapy appointments and all, so I wasn't home very much. I would park farther away from the stores or buildings we were visiting, so I'd have to walk farther each time. I cleaned my house more. Yes, I'm totally counting that as physical activity this week. I was active…well, at least not a couch potato.

Then today, it snowed. A LOT! We had 5.5 inches of snow by 7:30 am. I had to do a lot of shoveling. And it wasn't light fluffy snow either. It was heavy and wet. I didn't want to do it, but we had to be shoveled out so the kids could go to school, so I could get the trash cans to the road before the trash trucks came to pick them up. I definitely got in my 30 minutes of hard physical activity today. My lungs aren't thrilled with me, but my endorphins pumping through my system are making me feel a lot better about it all.

Discovering something new keeps Nutrisystem fun!

This week, I also took some time to try out some new foods that I had just received. Let me tell you I now have a new favorite breakfast meal! The Peanut Butter Granola bar is amazing!

Nutrisystem Peanut Butter granola bar

For me it tasted very close to the peanut butter and chocolate rice krispy square treats we make with the kids. So basically I felt like I was having dessert for breakfast. It definitely made me look forward to breakfast, and I am sad I only got two of them for this month. I am definitely getting a lot more of them next month!

Trying new things from the menu options definitely keeps things lively and interesting on Nutrisystem, and helps to keep you from getting more and losing the desire to stay on track. So always make sure you try at least one or two new things each month to keep things interesting. You never know what treasure you will find!

Nutrisystem week 13 report

So I mentioned that this week was a very good week for me. I was even rewarded with progress on the scale too!

Starting weight: 185.2
Week 1: 179.4
Week 2: 176.8
Week 3: 176.8
Week 4: 174.8
Week 5: 172.0
Week 6: 172.0
Week 7: 174.0
Week 8: 174.0
Week 9: 173.0
Week 10: 171.6
Week 11: 173.4
Week 12: 174.0

Week 13: 171.6

Yes! that was a big jump getting back on track! Almost three full pounds, and I'm feeling motivated, excited, and energized. I can't wait to see the progress I have next week, as I begin to add in more physical activity and resist all the Halloween Candy!

Keep up the great work!!! I was on the HCG diet back in september…. I dropped about 17 lbs in 2weeks, but then I got crazy painful headaches and took myself off the program :/
