In our household we always have to have a good supply of cold cereal! We have two little boys, so this is quite obvious! What house with kids doesn't need Cold cereal? But I want something with more nutrition than that sugar loaded, cardboard air cereal that is mostly promoted to my children! Yet my children want something that tastes great! A few years ago we found Quaker Oatmeal Squares, and were thrilled because it fit both my We criteria for a higher nutrition level, and appeased the children's need for great taste!

When we moved from Germany back to the US, I was shocked at the price of cold cereal and we had to make some harsh price cuts in our food, and sadly the cold cereal went away. Then we moved again, this time to Idaho! And the prices on Cold cereal were a bit more reasonable in our grocery stores, so were able to have it again on occasion! The Quaker Oatmeal squares were still a favorite!

When I found out they have a new Honey Nut flavor, from bzzagent, I HAD to join the campaign so we could try it out!

We were sent a large box plus 3 smaller single serve boxes of the Honey Nut flavor Quaker Oatmeal squares! When I opened that box, you should have heard the kid's cheers! I had to literally HIDE the boxes until I could get pictures. And then I let them enjoy!

I'll tell you right now, that large box did not last even a full day! Each boy had multiple bowls, the husband got at least one bowl full, and I got a small handful! Our sweet little Jade got to enjoy one of the small boxes all by herself. It was a huge hit with her as well. When the cereal was gone, the boys asked and asked if we could go to the store and get more. It was, "the best cereal EVER!" as they said!

I have to admit. Quaker really hit the nail on the head with the new Honey nut flavor! It's just sweet enough to please my kids, but it's not packed with sugar! It still has the same shape, color, texture as regular Quaker Oatmeal squares, and just as crunchy! I love that you can have it sit in a bowl of milk and it's still crispy by the time you carry said bowl to the table and begin eating, unlike many name brand cereals which shall remain nameless….but you all know what I"m talking about! Those soggy cereals get a ONE STRIKE count at our house!

Quaker Oatmeal Squares stay crunchy through almost the entire bowl, depending on how slow of an eater you are. And even then, as the squares begin to soften, they still have that delicious honey nut flavor, mixed with nutritious fiber!

The Quaker Oatmeal Squares are great as a breakfast cereal in milk or in trail mix, or as an afternoon snack by the handful without milk! They are just all around delicious! And they actually help fill you up!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the Quaker Oatmeal Squares Honey Nut Flavor! I was disappointed when I went to the store the following week and discovered that our stores had not yet stocked the new honey nut flavor! It's been about a month now, and I finally found it on the shelf in the next big town over! Needless to say, it will be on our list next time we make it to that town! It's definitely worth the splurge!

Quaker Oatmeal Squares can be found in most grocery stores nation wide. Although flavors may vary depending on your location. But if you get the chance, definitely try out the Honey Nut Flavor! It has rave reviews from my 3 little kids and even The Husband will eat it!
